Bio
After nearly 11 years in the newspaper racket, John recently quit his job to chase the dream of being his own boss while still getting paid to write.

These days, he spends his time as a freelance writer, and the Managing Editor of Gonzogeek where his duties include organizing content schedules, writing reviews and conducting and transcribing interviews. Because he doesn't have quite enough on his plate, John is also the Owner/Editor of www.mma-insider.com, which covers mixed martial arts with a primary focus on the scene in East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.

He graduated from Virginia with a double major in English and History, while also toiling in the basement of Newcomb Hall for the Cavalier Daily, which means he was assigned many books that were not read.

In his spare time, he enjoys watching baseball and professional wrestling, traveling, reading, grilling and hanging out with his wife and their two dogs, Jack and Jill.
