Toyota Racing test and reserve driver Mike Conway will make his race debut for the team in the fourth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship, in Austin on Sept. 20. The Englishman, already a two-time race winner this season in the IndyCar Series, will drive the 1,000-hp #7 TS040 Hybrid in place of Kazuki Nakajima, who has conflicting Super Formula duties in Japan. Conway gained experience in the TS040 during winter testing and raced at Circuit of the Americas in 2013 with G-Drive Racin...

Sebastien Bourdais (KVSH Racing, Chevrolet) won pole, his first since 2007. IndyCar: Iowa – New tires propel Hunter-Reay, Newgarden to top

Severe weather in the area saw race control move the start of the nighttime race forward. Team Penske (Chevrolet) drivers Will Power and Helio Castroneves started the race tied in the season standings, with Simon Pagenaud (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, Honda) 44 points back, Pocono-winner and third Penske driver Juan Pablo Montoya down 55, and Andretti Autospor...

IndyCar: Houston – What kind of guy is Will Power?

Photo: Chris Smith IndyCar 2014 points leader Will Power has a name my wife refused to believe was real. He’s regarded by many as aloof, even arrogant. His behavior after Race 1 in Houston this weekend would suggest otherwise. After a day in which he failed to make it out of the first round of qualifying, started the race 18th (his worst spot on the grid in more than a year), and finished P14, he was leaving the team paddock at about 6 pm. Half a dozen families, each with anywhere from...
