The 2016 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona marked the debut of the new Ford GT in sports car competition, Chip Ganassi Racing fielding two of them in GT Le Mans (GTLM). FIA WEC: 6 Hours of COTA – Audi, Aston Martin fastest in Practice 1

FIA WEC: Extreme Speed to make series debut at Circuit of the Americas

Extreme Speed Motorsports (ESM) will be making its FIA World Endurance Championship debut at Circuit of the Americas this weekend. The team last week participated in a one-day test at the track in advance of the Lone Star Le Mans, Sept. 19-20, having announced in August it would be competing in the Six Hours of Circuit of the Americas. USCC: Road America – Action Express wins again, Ferrari tops GT

ALMS: Baltimore – Muscle Milk clinches P1 championship

ALMS entered Baltimore with the Muscle Milk Pickett Racing LMP1 team able to clinch the season championship with a win, and just 9 points separating the Top 4 in LMP2 and 6 points the Top 5 in GT.
