FIA WEC: 6 Hours of Shanghai – Toyota 1-2, Porsche snags first LMP1 podium

The #7 Toyota Racing TS040 Hybrid (Kaz Nakajima, Stephane Sarrazain, Alex Wurz) took second place in the race from the #14 Porsche Team 919 Hybrid (Romain Dumas, Neel Jani, Marc Lieb) just past the 90-min mark. FIA WEC: 6 Hours of Fuji – Toyota scores home race 1-2; Ihara on LMP2 podium

Halfway through the race the #51 AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia driven by Gianmaria Bruni led GTE Pro ahead of Davide Rigon in the #71 sister car. FIA WEC: Conway to pilot #7 Toyota at Circuit of the Americas

Toyota Racing test and reserve driver Mike Conway will make his race debut for the team in the fourth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship, in Austin on Sept. 20. Torrential rain at 4.563-km Fuji International Speedway stopped the race at 3 hr and 46 min, with the No.7 Toyota TS030 Hybrid of Kazuki Nakajima, Nicolas Lapierre, and Alexander Wurz declared the overall winner.
