Ryan Briscoe and Scott Tucker led a 1-2 Level 5 Motorsports finish in the American Le Mans Series race at Circuit of the Americas. ALMS: Circuit of the Americas - Garcia, Magnussen GT winners press conference

Antonio Garcia and Jan Magnussen’s win over Jonathan Bomarito (Viper) and Dirk Muller (BMW) at Circuit of the Americas propelled the duo into the ALMS GT championship season points lead over both Muller and Corvette Racing teammates Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner. Garcia led the final 58 minutes of the race despite nearly continuous pressure from first Muller and then Bomarito. FIA WEC: 6 Hours of COTA – McNish, Conway, Aston Martin take wins

The starting grid had Loic Duval on pole with teammate Marcel Fassler (Audi Sport Team Joest Audi R18 e-tron quattro) right next door. ALMS: Circuit of the Americas – Tough GT fight ends Garcia, Bomarito, Muller

Chris McMurry (Dyson Racing Lola B12/60 Mazda) took the lead from pole-sitter Lucas Luhr (Muscle Milk Pickett Racing HPD ARX-03s) at the start, but Luhr had retaken it and opened a 3.894-sec gap by the end of Lap 1. Early LMP1/LMP2 qualifying for tomorrow’s FIA World Endurance Championship 6 Hours of Circuit of the Americas was marked by contact between the Toyota Racing TS030 – Hybrid and the LMP2 Lotus T128.
