F1: Austria – Mercedes 1-2; Rosberg tops Hamilton, Bottas third

“Holy shit!” the words that leapt out of my mouth, sitting in a pleasantly dark, cool room by myself when Felipe Massa took pole position -- his first since Brazil 2008 – over his Williams teammate Valtteri Bottas, creating the first all-Williams Row 1 since 2003. IndyCar: Juan Pablo Montoya talks about his return to open-wheel racing

Photo: Chris Owens   Juan Pablo Montoya breezed into the media center after 248 laps on a sweltering evening a couple of weekends ago seemingly without a concern. His broad smile and rapport during the lively Q&A summed up both his third-place performance June 7 in the Firestone 600 at Texas Motor Speedway and his current station in motorsports. "I'm happy," said Montoya, who at 38 years old returned this year to Indy car racing after a 13-year absence. "I had a hell of a race." &nbs...

You can read the report for the first half of the race here.   The #14 Porsche’s fuel system problems returned during Hour 13, forcing it into the garage for repairs. The #7 Toyota led through the night, but retired on track at Arnage with electrical problems as the race entered its 14th hour. The #2 Audi moved to the front, but 2 hrs later, with a 3-lap lead in hand and Marcel Fassler driving, the car was pushed into the garage with engine problems. The #1 Audi moved to the fron...
