What I'm Into This Week: Space, The Final Frontier

It’s been a great week for spaceheads. So much so that my own long-dormant flame was rekindled. I watched the moon landings excitedly as a kid, and remember how cool Apollo-Soyuz was as well. The early phases of the space shuttle program also captivated. I remember exactly where I was when I simultaneously first heard about and saw footage of the Challenger disaster. Squidbillies Volume 5 Comes to DVD and We Have an Exclusive Clip

One of the great things about Cartoon Network's Adult Swim is the sheer breadth of insanity that makes it to air. Need an example? How about Squidbillies. What, you may ask, is a Squidbilly? Break it down. Squid. Check. Billies? Short for hillbillies. So, squid hillbillies. See what I mean about insanity? Jibbies & Loond: Video Special - Dark Century

When Jibbies caught up with vocalist Leather King after the show he explained Dark Century's  stellar performance thusly, "We all suck at our day jobs. This is what we love." The band released...

Photo: Blesk - Jiří Hadač Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe, shown here in a Czech courtroom, has been freed from a Czech prison after being held for over a month on suspicion of manslaughter stemming from an incident in which a fan at a 2010 Lamb of God show in Prague died. His lawyers posted roughly $400,000 bond to secure his release, which Czech paper Blesk.cz reported was gathered from his bandmates. Blythe boarded a plane to the US immediately following his release,...

Photo: AFP The Formula 1 US Grand Prix is happening Nov. 16-18 at the purpose built, brand new Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Tex. We here at GonzoGeek are very excited about this and decided to put together a video special giving some examples of exactly what it is we’re in for. First off is David Coulthard, former Formula 1 driver (1994-2008; Williams, McLaren, and Red Bull), who spends some time tooling around the at-the-time still dirt circuit and the streets of Austin in a Red B...
