It’s summertime already down here in Houston, and I’ve risen to the heat by compiling a Summer 2013 playlist. There’s some new stuff. Some medium-old stuff. And some ancient stuff. Regardless of age, however, each song stands on its own as a great summer-themed (to me) anthem. Even more spectacularly, their arc, played from beginning to end, roughly corresponds to the arc of any number of my 3-month breaks from school back when. And after all, summer really is for the kids.
Right up above, you can give yourself ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ treatment, listening to the full work as it was designed to be consumed. If, however, your own summer hasn’t quite kicked off yet, I’ve also made the individual tracks available for a la carte abuse.
And remember: Cash, gas, or ass; nobody rides for free.
