Friday LinkFrogging - 5/24/13
Summer officially begins today kids.

How do I know?

Well let's see, its Memorial Day Weekend.

That brings us the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday.

It brings us the return of Vin Diesel in another Fast & Furious movie.

You know, I dared occasional hand model, David Cantu, to watch 20 minutes of each of those movies in order and let me know if he could tell the difference.  He still hasn't followed through.  Why don't you make good use of your time off next week dude.

Summer is upon us and that brings the return of the summer blockbuster.  I'm too far behind to get my annual summer movie preview up this year, but let's be honest, I picked Savages to be the sleeper hit of summer 2012.  Maybe I don't know what I'm doing anymore.

I've enjoyed Iron Man 3 for the Lethal Weapon sequel it was.  And, earlier today, I enjoyed Star Trek Into Darkness in all of its Mirror, Mirror glory.

Summer is the time for big dumb movies and given the Grownups sequel due in theaters later this summer, we're in for a long dumb summer.

Still, all is not lost.  Every time I see a trailer for Man of Steel I get more excited.  I'm intrigued, but cautious about The Wolverine Pacific Rim could do for kaiju what Jurassic Park did for dinosaurs.  The Lone Ranger looks like a beautiful disaster waiting to happen.

And then there are the fringe players.  The trailers for We're the Millers and This is the End both look like fun, but they could have already given us all the funny parts.

And then there's this weekend's other big opener, The Hangover III - One Last Cash Grab.

Let's be honest, The Hangover was lightning in a bottle.  All attempts to duplicate it should just be forgotten.

Of course, the movie will make a small fortune for everyone involved and probably lead to an iller-advised Dr. Ken solo movie.

You heard it here first.

The one upside to the Wolfpack's return to Vegas is the return of this week's cheesecake.

Please say hello to Heather Graham.

Ms. Graham has been the slightly off-kilter, possibly dangerous girl next door since the Coreys were still a thing.

This week she's back as "escort," Jade.

Of course, perhaps Ms. Graham's most famous role was in Rollergirl in 1997's Boogie Nights.

She's also appeared in Swingers, Scream 2 and an Austin Powers movie.

Now, its late and I'm tired so I'm going to let Dire Straits finish this up with me.  I'm sure there's a link in here somewhere.

Let's hit the links.
