Life has remained nice and busy in Venomous Maximus land (aka Houston). The band signed with Napalm Records last month, as rave reviews for their debut full-length ‘Beg Upon The Light’ continued to roll in, and is currently putting together plans for a summer tour. A June 18 stop in Little Rock is already confirmed as is a date at Reggie’s in Chicago June 22 with Valient Thorr, Gypsyhawk, and Ramming Speed.
In between, the band will play Days Of The Doomed Fest II at the Blue Pig in Cudady, Wisc., June 21, joining Penance, The Gates Of Slumber, and many more. A stop in Atlanta is also planned, and given how hard working this band is you can pretty much get ready to see them somewhere not too far from you in the months ahead.
Before any of that though, the band does its hometown right by joining Warbeast, Wo Fat, Sanctus Bellum, Project Armageddon, Mothership, Las Cruces, and others May 11 at Fitzgerald’s for Bayou Doom I. Best of all, if you’re over 21….IT’S FOR FREE! [With Kvelertak, Cancer Bats, Black Tusk, and Bury The Crown playing downstairs for $10 that same night it’s tough to imagine a better music spot on earth. Book your flights now! – Ed.]
Two weeks later, Saturday, May 25, VM returns to San Antonio, playing its Fitzgerald’s with deadhorse, Pillcrusher, and The Cut Throat.
Get out and see this band in a place where you can still buy them a beer. In the meantime, enjoy their video for ‘Path Of Doom.’
