Friday LinkFrogging - 3/1/13
Welcome to March kids.

Though Stephe might disagree after this week, spring is on the way.

It's been a long winter and I'm ready for spring and summer to grace us with their warm, shorts-appropriate presence.

I'm also ready for summer movie season, because I have to be honest, the dearth in the current pop culture landscape is starting to piss me off.

Its so bad this week I had to jump forward a week to grab an appropriate piece of cheesecake for our loyal readers.  There is nothing going on and nobody even tangentially related that we haven't already featured.

So, I clicked my heels together and brought forth Glinda the Good Witch.

It was like magic.

Please say hello to Michelle Williams, won't you?

Ms. Williams stars as Glinda in the new Disney movie Oz the Great and Powerful, which opens next week.  The trailers have me cautiously excited about this one.  An update on the classic Oz story is long overdue, and the men behind the curtain at Disney seem to have gone all in on this one.

Of course, with the good comes the bad.  It was reported earlier this week that Ms. Williams had broken up with her current beau, Jason Segel.  Dammit, I thought those two crazy kids were gonna make it.

Ms. Williams first appeared on our radar during her time on Dawson's Creek.  Since then, she's fared better than the rest of her castmates, appearing in Halloween H2O and earning Academy Award nominations for her work in Brokeback Mountain, Blue Valentine and My Week with Marilyn.

That's three more nominations than the rest of the cast combined.

Let's hit the links.
