Here’s something to whet your appetite for Grand-Am of the Americas starting one week from today at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Tex; hot laps in a racing trim Aston Martin Vantage GT3. As they used to say in the glory days of FM radio, “Turn it up, and rip the knob off!!”
Fans of the maker can also have a go at designing its race livery here.
The Aston Martin factory and The Racer's Group (TRG) in November announced the formation of a partnership to bring the car to the US. Aston Martin will compete in Grand-Am, the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, and the American Le Mans Series.
California-based TRG, previously associated with Porsche, has a legacy of motorsport success dating to the 1990s with four championships and more than 50 racing victories including four Rolex 24 class victories and one overall. TRG has also won at Le Mans.
