Friday LinkFrogging - 1/18/13
Greetings from Washington, D.C.

That's right, I'm sitting in a hotel room in the nation's capital waiting for a meeting with FEMA tomorrow. X-Files mythology aside, this is a good thing.

In order to be here for tomorrow morning's meeting, I had to spend all day travelling.  A car, two planes and DC Metro train and here I am, sitting in a hotel room watching Elementary and writing this.

All in all, its been a good day.

I started reading Cotton Comes to Harlem on the first leg of my flight.  I'd picked up the paperback from my father-in-law's expatriation book purge.  The idiom is so very 60s, but the blaxploitation pulp is a fun read.

I'm not sure why I told you that, so take it for what its worth.

Anyway, I had lots of links this week and no cheesecake when I sat down.  Thankfully, the show that airs before Elementary took care of that for me.

Please say hello to Taraji P. Henson.

Ms. Henson stars as Detective Joss Carter on CBS' Person of Interest (which Matt reviewed HERE).

You know, the show on before Elementary.

In addition to her work on Person of Interest, Ms. Henson has also appeared in such geek approved fare as The Karate Kid, Smokin' Aces, Date Night and Hustle & Flow.

She received an Oscar nomination for her role in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

She's also a staunch supporter of PETA who we should thank for this week's visuals.

Thanks PETA.

Let's hit the links.
