Well, we've hit that time of year again kids.
The pop culture landscape is a little bare as we waffle between award season and movie dump season
Every year at this time I find this feature a bit difficult as the offerings that are out there just aren't inspiring OR I'm saving a few bullets for Oscar time.
So, I search and I search. I follow each and every random thought that I have and, as this week, I usually end of right back where I started.
So, please say hello to this week's cheesecake, Sarah Paulson.
Ms. Paulson stars in this week's big box office offering, Glass
After a decade in the pop culture ghetto, M. Night Shymalan jumped back into prominence last year with the decade late, surprise sequel to Unbreakable
You know the original superhero movie?
Yes, she's joining the Shymalan-verse along with Willis, McAvoy and Jackson.
Okay, that's cool.
She's a mainstay of American Horror Story
She's in Netflix's Bird Box
I always enjoy Ms. Paulson's work. She's been a fixture on our pop culture landscape since the early 90s. Everything on her resume isn't award worthy, but the farther into her career she gets, the better the work gets.
Studio 60. Deadwood. Serenity. 12 Years a Slave.
Those are strong entries.
We just won't mention The Spirit
will we, Ms. Paulson.
The Oscar nominations will be announced this week and I'm sure that will influence next week's discussion. Until then, like Taylor Holland, enjoy Ms. Paulson.
