Welcome to 2019 kids.
I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday season.
We spent the time regrouping and preparing for the new year.
That included prepping new projects and looking for new contributors.
It also included a long conversation with Stephe earlier today.
In that conversation, he told me had familial confirmation that we have readers in New Zealand.
Yes, he has family in New Zealand and they know folks who read our stuff down there.
Your boys are international.
Of course, 2019 decided to make itself known early and big. On the second we got a string of celebrity deaths. Good night and good luck to "Mean" Gene Okerlund, Bob Einstein and Daryl Dragon.
2019 also found the missus and I returning to some DVR recordings, specifically Killing Eve. We'd watched the first episode the night it premiered and then let it slide. Now, with award season upon us, we decided to revisit the series.
I'm glad we did. This show is great. The interplay and tension between the leads is off the chart.
Sandra Oh is amazing as always.
And, this week's cheesecake, Jodie Comer is spectacular as the emotionless assassin Villanelle. She really makes the show tick.
Though she's appeared in other things you may have seen, Killing Eve is the show that's going to put her on the map and in your future.
Its a good way to start a new year.
