Friday LinkFrogging - 11/16/18
It's been a rough week in the Geek-o-verse kids.

We took a trio of losses this week.

They were big.

Hell, they were seismic.

Working backwards, we lost William Goldman, the author of The Princess Bride.

We also lost Roy Clark.  The legendary country picker was a co-host of Hee Haw.  The syndicated comedy variety series was regular viewing at my home in the 70s.  Aside from instilling a love of music in me, I would hazard a guess that Hee Haw also had something to do with my appreciation for cheesecake.

And finally, and most devastating to me personally, Stan Lee died.

Stan the Man was the creative force behind almost every character in the Marvel Universe, comic and cinematic.  His creations have given me more enjoyable hours than just about anything else I can think of.  The sheer breadth of his creations puts him in the same league as Walt Disney as far as I'm concerned.

Excelsior!

This week also marks the theatrical return of the Wizarding World with the debut of Fantastic Beasts:  The Crimes of Grindelwald.

I enjoyed the first Potter free entry into the canon.  I have hopes for the sequel as well.

The early reviews are iffy, but hope springs eternal.

So, while we're celebrating Pottery things, let's say hello to this week's cheesecake, Carmen Ejogo.

Ms. Ejogo stars in Fantastic Beasts as Seraphina Picquery.

Prior to her turn as a witchy woman, she appeared in Selma, It Comes at Night and Alien:  Covenant.

Perhaps most importantly, she was also in Absolute Beginners.

Up next for her?  How about the third season of True Detective.

Not too shabby.

 Let's hit the links.
