Friday LinkFrogging - 8/18/17
Happy Defenders Day.

After five seasons of build, the Netflix MCU delivers its payoff.

I've just started episode three and they are doing a good job of moving pieces around.  Luke Cage had the traditional miscommunication fight with Iron Fist in episode two.  Matt Murdoch met Jessica Jones in the same episode.

With only eight episodes, instead of the usual 13, things are moving at a brisk pace.  This can only help the concept in the long run.  My main complaint about the Netflix MCU so far has been the filler episodes to hit the 13 episode mark.  I'm hoping at only 8 Defenders fixes this problem.

You know what other problem I have?  I've already featured most of the ladies of the Defenders.  Some more than once.

However, with a little extra searching I was finally able to locate appropriate pictures to add another to our roster.

Please say hello to Simone Missick.

Ms. Missick patrols the mean streets of MCU New York as Misty Knight.  In the comics, she's a private detective with a cybernetic arm.  On the shows, she's a tough as nails cop.  Either way she's a cool character who I enjoy seeing on the screen.

Her filmography is full of one off performances, but her continued presence in the Netflix MCU can only raise her profile.

We'll be seeing more of her.

Lots more.

In the meantime, buckle up and let's see how all of this shakes out.

Let's hit the links.
