Friday LinkFrogging - 3/10/17
Remember last week when I had such a hard time choosing a cheesecake?

Remember how I agonized over my choice?

Remember how I said I knew who this week's selection would be?

Well, as it turns out, I wasn't lying.

This week is as close to a karmic softball as you get.

A universal layup...if you will.

Please say hello to Brie Larson.

Why was Ms. Larson's selection so preordained?

One word.

KONG!

This week, Ms. Larson becomes the latest in a storied line of Hollywood blondes to capture the heart of the King of Skull Island.

Fay Wray.  Jessica Lange.  Naomi Watts.

All of these ladies have woo'ed a Kong, but none of them have done it after winning an Oscar.

Ms. Larson did it.

None of those other ladies did it after joining the MCU.

Ms. Larson did it.

After spending the early part of her career in that "kinda famous" limbo that gets you roles in things like The League, Kroll Show, Scott Pilgrim, Community and 21 Jumpstreet.

Then, she locks herself in a shed with a kid, picks up and Oscar and suddenly she's starring opposite Loki, Dan Connor and Nick Fury as they take on cinema's first awesome ape.

Seriously, can someone PLEASE get John Goodman in a MCU movie?  Gyrich?  Seriously!

Now she's being fitted for her spandex and her upcoming role as Captain Marvel.

She's come a long way since Six Chick in 13 Going on 30 (with Elektra).

But seriously, someone get John Goodman into an MCU project.  Seriously!

Let's hit the links.
