Friday LinkFrogging - 12/9/16
We live in strange time kids.

No, I'm not talking about the elaborate performance art piece going on in Washington, DC.  Am I the only one who thinks, at some point, Andy Kaufman is going to walk out in a turtleneck and sweater and thank the voters " very much"?

No, what got me thinking about the ongoing strange took place on a much smaller yet more personal scale last week.

I'm talking about the Invasion crossover that took place on all of the Arrow-verse CW shows last week.

Billed as a four-night crossover event, Invasion hit Supergirl, Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow with different force.  Supergirl's connection was so tangential that I sat through an hour of CW melo-super-drams that I didn't need to.  The same few minutes of programming aired the next night during Flash...IN ITS ENTIRETY.

I'm not really complaining because we got to see ON TELEVISION a crossover that featured a dozen heroes of varying levels teaming up to stop an alien invasion...ON PRIMETIME NETWORK TELEVISION!

Never in my life did I think I'd see that.

But I did.

And I was happy.

So happy, in fact, that I'm making Supergirl this week's cheesecake.  Please say hello to Melissa Benoist.

Prior to joining the El family, Ms. Benoist was a member of the Glee cast along with the Flash himself, Grant Gustin.

She appeared opposite Reed Richards and Commissioner Gordon in the Academy Award winning Whiplash.

She was also in something called The Longest Ride opposite Lieutenant GQ himself.

Seriously, I think everyone has been in a superhero movie now or is contractually obligated to be in one soon.

And we're all better for it.

Let's hit the links.
