As one carnival winds down another begins.
The Republican National Convention ended last night with the word "presumptive" finally being removed from Donald Trump's name on the ballot.
You know, for a showman, the Trump Convention was pretty lackluster.
I'm just saying, for a guy who participated in WrestleMania, he left a lot of potential flash on the table.
Even his WWE inspired entrance was lacking. How hard would it have been to play THIS
as the Donald walked through his backlighting?
And as the conservatives abandon Cleveland, the Geeks have descended on San Diego in all of their aromatic costumed glory.
Comic-Con is underway and yours truly is missing Geektopia for the first time since 2011. All I can do is sit here, watch the rain fall and the news roll in.
Next year San Diego. Next year.
That's enough of my ennui. How about some cheesecake?
Please say hello to the Executive Vice President of Trump Enterprises, Ivanka Trump.
Yes, she introduced her father as the "people's champion" last night. No word yet on the Rock's response, but I bet it involves a raised eyebrow.
Ms. Trump also co-starred on The Apprentice
with her father.
She also posed for some suitably cheesecakey pictures at some point.
Thanks for making the Geek Great Again Ivanka.
