Friday LinkFrogging - 5/27/16
Welcome to Memorial Day weekend kids.

First of all, thanks to all of those who have served and continue to serve. We are grateful for your sacrifices.

It's been a slow week here at the Geek.

All the boys are busy so content has been sparse. That will change next week.

In the meantime, we've still got this time together.

Memorial Day weekend marks the semi-official beginning of summer.

The weather is better. The days are longer. The movies are more popcorny.

Summer movie season is once again upon us.

How do I know?

I think its the giant X marked on my local Cineplex.

That's right, its time to dip our toes back into Fox's non-Marvel Marvel universe.

This weekend brings the FoX-Men (copyright 2016 GGMI) into the 80s as they face the threat of Apocalypse.

And, where there is Apocalypse, there must be Horsemen.

WHOOO!

Wait, wrong 80s Horsemen.

Anyway...

I had a couple of ways to go with this week's cheesecake selection. I could go X-Men or I could go Apocalypse.

I was torn so left the decision to my newly teenaged son.

He didn't even hesitate. He was right.

Please say hello, again, to Olivia Munn.

Ms. Munn makes her second appearance as hostess of this feature. She's also joining the FoX-Men universe as Psylocke.

That character's back story is so convoluted I'm just going to go ahead and link to Wikipedia.

Since her last appearance, Ms. Munn has appeared in Magic Mike, Mortdecai, Ride Along 2 and, mostly importantly, The Newsroom.

Her economics geek, Sloan Sabbith, stole most scenes she was in.

This weekend she trades in her bull and bears for spandex and katanas.

We're all better for it.

Let's hit the links.
