It has been a busy couple of weeks and my intake was down, but I'm getting back on the horse.
Here, now, is what you you missed while I was gone.
WHIPLASH - Yes, I know its late, but I just got around to watching this one. What a great movie. The performances of Miles Teller and JK Simmons were outstanding. A classic case study of what it means to be the best.
JONAH HEX - I'd heard a lot about the Palmiotti/Gray run on this character. The reports were accurate. The series, told as a series of one-offs, shifted both tonally and artistically from issue to issue. It was the perfect representation of how a man can become a tall tale and/or a legend. Recommended.
SUICIDE SQUAD - I never wrote anything about Batman v. Superman because I just couldn't. The movie largely left me cold. The new trailer for Suicide Squad is about as far from that as you can get. It promises to be a balls out action flick set to a glam rock soundtrack. Don't believe me? Check it out for yourself.
