Friday LinkFrogging - 1/22/16

Another brutal week in the world of pop culture.

We lost Glenn Frey, Dale Griffin, Mic Gillette and "Iron" Mike Sharpe.

What's that?

You missed the news of Sharpe's passing?

I believe it.

He had the poor fortune to die on the same day as Frey.

Jobbed out again.

However bleak things have seemed in the Geek-o-sphere of late, it gets better on Sunday.

In addition to the NFL Conference title games, we've got the Royal Rumble and, perhaps most importantly, the return of The X-Files.

That's right, Mulder and Scully are back shining their shiny flashlights in all the dark corners of our collective conscioiusness.

It's been a while since we last checked in on our favorite FBI investigators, but based on what I've seen so far, they haven't lost a step.

Mulder is still a spooky believer.  Scully is still the logical half of the duo.  And, of course, there's still conspiracy afoot.

Thanks to the return of The X-Files, this week's cheesecake selection was a no-brainer.

Please say hello, again, to Gillian Anderson.

Since the last time we checked in on Ms. Anderson, she's been hard at work, appearing in projects such as Crisis, The Fall, War and Peace, Robot Chicken and, most memorably, Hannibal.

That's right she was Hannibal's main squeeze.

Tread lightly Mulder.

Tread lightly.

Let's hit the links.
