Okay kids. I did this for SDCC, so I might as well try it again for NYCC.
Here’s where the list of NYCC convention exclusives stands. This includes as many of the un-Funko Booth exclusives as I could find. I’ve tried to include as much information as possible. Good luck!
Funko - Booth #722
Just a heads up, Funko will be doing line tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets will be distributed from 11:00 to 2:30 each day in Hall 1C. Pack a lunch and get in line now. Like SDCC, you will be limited to one of each exclusive at a time. Vendors/exhibitors will be shunned, but they’re used to being shunned and will skirt the system anyway. Iif you missed that one piece you were looking for at the booth, you’ll probably find it two aisles over for three times the price. And if you’re extra lucky, you can always find ‘collectors’ sitting a few feet from the booth listing items on Ebay.

Any piece that doesn’t have an edition number is more than likely a ‘Fall Convention Exclusive’ and will show up at retail (Barnes & Noble, Hot Topic) the weekend of the show. I haven’t seen a release time or date (not for lack of trying), but probably Thursday, the day NYCC kicks off. Based on past distribution snafus, it is entirely possible that some of what you find in a store will come with a NYCC sticker (if that matters to you), some of it will be put out a couple days early, and no one you talk to working the floor will know what’s going on. Good luck.
****RETAILERS RUMORS AND CONJECTURE****
Please keep in mind that what you're about to read is based mostly on employee leaks. Take them with a grain of salt...or the whole bag. Your call.
NBC Jack and Vampire Teddy
Iron Throne (already purchased and shown on FB)
BARNES & NOBLE
Flocked Cookie Monster
Dorbz Black and White TMNT 4-Pack
Deadpoll Chimichanga Truck
Poseidon's Rage Kratos
Fallout Power Armor
(Hmmmm...the two video game pieces at the store that sells video games).
That leaves only three exclusives unaccounted for. If we're taking bets here's mine.
Tie Fighter Pilot - BN Hot Topic, BN.... Hot Topic. Yeah. That one.
Catbug - Hot Topic
Patina Cthulhu - Can go either way, but since he's based on a book and he's sort of goth horror, I'll go with both. No...Hot Topic.
Thank God there's no money involved.
Again, this shouldn't be taken as gospel. I'm basing this on a post from the Funko Pop Hunters FB page that's getting shared around like the new guy in prison. This here is just good old fashioned rumor, the kind of thing that stirs the part when people don't read the disclaimers. So....DISCLAIMER. They could end up at your local grocery store for all we really know.
AND THOSE OTHER LIMITED FUNKOS... (HA! I couldn't resist)
Numbered edition exclusives have a history of showing up on Gemini Collectibles shortly after the con (and in some years, during). This would include Hikari and Reaction as well as Pops and Dorbz. Stalk them.
Here's the link to Gemini's NYCC sale page
Marvel Collector Corp (MCC) - Booth 1032
Hey...these guys will be there, too. MCC will be selling past boxes (Antman, Secret Wars, Avengers) on a 'while supplies last' basis. First 500 to show up in a Collector Corp t-shirt get an Ant-Man print. It's pretty sweet. Hit it up fast for a chance to get a Hulkbuster for retail ($25.00).
Toy Tokyo - Booth 101
As far as Con exclusives go, Toy Tokyo is kicking ass. Sure, big daddy Funko is covering all their bases with 36 exclusives, but TT somehow managed to snipe all the REALLY good stuff. The only piece with an edition size is the Hikari. Expect prices to be the same, or nearly the same as the Funko booth. Oh...and did I mention the two Godzilla pieces are 6”, and that you could get them signed? No? Well they are.
After SDCC, Toy Tokyo sold leftover exclusives online, the only catch was that they sold them in bundles. I just want the Freddy. Here’s hoping.
...And this just in!
Yup. Freaking Godzilla Hikari. Haven't seen a price yet, but I'd put back a c-note just ot be safe. Toy Tokyo kills it.
Fugitive Toys - Booth 410
Nelson and friends (and yes, you can be his friend) will be in the house. They’ll have two exclusives on hand and they're looking pretty good.
DC 81 - 52 Reverse Flash (19.99)
Disney 12 - Flocked Stitch (24.99)
Nelson is pretty good about putting some up on his website
(which he did last night AFTER I posted). If there’s extra stock after the show, it too will be on the website. Nelson also likes to release in batches, so if it shows as ‘out of stock’ keep checking back, it could be available again.
Super7 - Booth 174
Super7, one of my favorite toy companies after Funko, will bring a few Funko/ReAction Exclusives to NYCC (as well as a MOTU -Not Funko or ReAction per se, but certainly in the style of- exclusive).
Universal Monsters Green Glow 4 pack - 65? ( price of the blue set at SDCC)
Alien Nostromo Crew 3 Pack $45
By The Power of Grayscale
Black & White MOTU He-Man ( Not Funko or ReAction per se) - $15
Black & White MOTU Skeletor ( Not Funko or ReAction per se) - $15
Black & White MOTU Mer-Man ( Not Funko or ReAction per se) - $15
Black & White MOTU Beast-Man ( Not Funko or ReAction per se) - $15
Stan Lee Collectibles - Booth 2708
This one is pretty cool. A gold variant of the caped Stan Lee Pop. Still tracking down pricing and booth information. It got posted to the Stan Lee Collectibles Facebook page so follow them. Maybe they’ll give up some more information.
Stan Lee Gold Superhero Pop (??) - $??
***There is also rumors of a Sliver Caped Stan being made available. We'll see.
*****The Silver Superhero Stan is actually 'Platinum' (looks silver) and will be available at Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo in LA over the Halloween weekend.
Convention Exclusives - Booth 2654
Another underpromoted exclusive (or more to the point, one I forgot to follow up on). Two Funko Exclusives especially for fans of Supernatural. Actually, only for fans of Supernatural unless you also happen to collect only Blood Splattered and/or Metallics. A pair of Supernatural 3-packs. Look kind of cool
AND...they just put them up for pre-sale on their website. I've linked to the sales below. If you pre-order, however, no free tote bag.
Sam, Dean & Crowley - blood splattered (275) - $50
Sam, Dean & Crowley - metallic and blood splattered (175) - $90
Each edition is hand-numbered and comes with a free tote bag
Loot Crate - Booth 466
Well, well, well. What do you know? Loot Crate will be on hand with an exclusive 'Creepy Crate' that will feature an exclusive Funko Pop. The image I stole from their Twitter Feed shows an edition size of 10,000. It might be real. It might be artistic license. If it's real, then let it serve as a little life lesson for new collectors. 'Exclusive' does not equal 'Rare'.
You've been warned.
Well, who knows. I haven’t seen anything other than the above. At SDCC, there were a few ‘surprise’ or ‘underpromoted’ exclusives like Loot Crate’s Star Wars Hikari, Bait’s Astroboy Hikari and Pop Asia starter kits, or the Pop Life Tour’s set of Hikari Exclusives. Vendors like Toy Tokyo and Fugitive MIGHT have older exclusives in their booths at retail prices. If they did, they’d be the only ones. Every other vendor seems to follow the rule of threes….buy it at Funko, charge three times as much 20 feet away.
Keep your eyes open and your head on a swivel. Happy Hunting!
