When you do this long enough you hit dry patches.
The calendar works against you.
Inspiration works against you.
Hell, sometimes you even work against you.
This was one of those weeks.
We are in the dead period between the summer blockbusters and the start of the new television season. Weeks like this make finding the appropriate hostesses for this feature challenging.
I try not to repeat too often.
I try not to go retro too often.
So, what's a fella to do on a week like this?
Troll for clicks, that's what.
Yup, I realized there is a new show out there that I'm not watching that's doing good business.
AMC's Fear the Walking Dead.
I jumped ship on the original series a couple of years ago and I'm not looking to jump back in. However, that doesn't mean others aren't.
So, to grab a few FTWD clicks, please say hello to Mercedes Mason.
Or Mercedes Masohn.
Or the third version of her name that features an umlaut over the O.
However you spell it, Ms. Mason is starring in the new zombie apocalypse hit from AMC as Ofeilia Salazar.
I was unfamiliar with Ms. Masohn until SDCC this year. She was one of the featured ladies on the Bad Ass Women panel at Nerd HQ and she held her own on a stacked panel.
No, that wasn't a joke, but I can see how you got that.
In addition to FTWD, Ms. Mason has appeared in other Geek approved fare such as Chuck, The Astronaut Wives Club, Anger Management, Californication, The Finder and Quarantine 2.
She's also been on two NCISes and a CSI. Those things are like Law & Order these days.
