So, this week I was on a binge.
No, it wasn't a Hunter S. Thompson or Charles Bukowski kinda binge.
No, I went on the 21st century version of obsessive behavior.
That's right, I watched a bunch of TV.
Specifically, I caught up on Season 5 of Game of Thrones.
I'd only managed to watch the premiere episode before they began to stack up on my DVR like so much pop culture drift wood.
So, with the missus out of town for business, I made it my goal to get caught on the goings on in Westeros.
As usual there was duplicity, angst, nudity and Dinklage.
What I didn't expect was to see a familiar face in the streets of Volantis.
I didn't expect her, but there she was, preaching the gospel of the Mother of Dragons.
It was in that instance that I knew we had our cheesecake.
Please say hello to Rila Fukushima.
Ms. Fukushima's resume is short, but Geek hardy.
In addition to defeating the Imp in a staring contest, she was recently seen on Arrow as Tatsuo Yamashiro aka Katana. Her role was a pivotal one in Arrow's uneven third season.
Before that she played everyone's favorite lunatic Japanese thief, Yukio, in The Wolverine.
She also starred in a Japanese version of Raymond Chandler's The Long Goodbye which I haven't seen, but I bet is a lot of fun.
Her resume is short, but strong.
We'll call her a buy early.
Let's hit the links.
