Friday LinkFrogging - 1/9/15

Ah, January.

The month when we all slowly come out of our holiday induced fuges to return to the land of the living.

January also means something else.

Something important.

January means its time for our annual Liam Neeson testosterone-fest.

Yes, today marks the opening of Taken 3, the final chapter an unexpected box office sensation franchise.

After graduating from Krull, Satisfaction and Darkman, Neeson spent most of the 90s and early 00s seeking and garnering critical acclaim.

Then a funny thing happened.

Neeson played Qui-Gon Jinn in the first Star Wars prequel.  It was a move that surprised everyone and ALMOST made us forget Jar Jar Binks.

NEVER FORGET!

Neeson had apparently forgotten how much fun an action movie could be, but he quickly remembered.

Since his reawakening, he's played Ra's Al Ghul and Hannibal Smith.

He's also, annually, brought a solid big dumb action movie.

We're three Takens in and in that time he's also fought wolves and airplane hijacking terrorists.

It's good to have Liam's skills.

Of course, Taken doesn't work unless Neeson has someone to save.  And that person is this week's cheesecake.

Please say hello again to Maggie Grace.

Ms. Grace plays the perpetually endangered Kim Mills in the Taken franchise.

She's also appeared in Lost, the Twilight series, The Following and Californication.

Watch your back sparkly vampires.  Neeson is out there.

Let's hit the links.
