Welcome to Halloween kids.
It's the night he came home.
It's the night all the kids get amped up on sugar and crash until mid-day Saturday.
It's also a Friday which gives us the rare opportunity to theme our cheesecake selection.
Please say hello to Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.
Elvira is the creation of Cassandra Peterson, a dancer/actress who was famously linked romantically to both Elvis and Tom Jones.
Ms. Peterson didn't really hit it big until she scored a gig in 1981 to revive a Los Angeles creature feature show.
She brought out the big guns, literally, and a star was born.
By tweaking the typical vamp persona with Valley Girl speak and a dry sense of humor about her show's subject matter, Elvira became an international hit.
There have been two Elvira movies and merchandise of every type associated with the character over the past 33 years.
Elvira is still going strong, hosting 13 Night of Elvira on Hulu this Halloween season.
And just as a reminder, here's a flashback to Elvira in action on MTV in the mid-80s.
Let's hit the links.
