No, the madness I'm talking about is the imminent arrival of the next big thing.
Ever since Universal figured out how to successfully film the Harry Potter books, any and all young adult books with a plot have been optioned and filmed.
Harry Potter begat Twilight which begat The Hunger Games.
They haven't all been successful, but I believe today's entry, Divergent, will end up on the positive side of the ledger and I believe that success will be largely the result of this week's cheesecake.
Please say hello to Shailene Woodley.
Ms. Woodley first rose to notoriety on the ABC Family drama The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Her fame grew exponentially when she starred along side, and held her own with, George Clooney in the Oscar nominated The Descendants.
Since then she has continued to turn in noteworthy performances in vehicles such as The Spectacular Now and the upcoming The Fault in Our Stars.
If that weren't enough, she's your next Mary Jane Watson and is expected to make her Spidey-verse debut in an upcoming Spider-Man movie.
Face it Tiger, you got lucky.
If Jennifer Lawrence's post-Hunger Games rise to superstardom is any indicator, Ms. Woodley is about to be in high demand.
