Ryan Briscoe and Scott Tucker led a 1-2 Level 5 Motorsports finish in the American Le Mans Series race at Circuit of the Americas. The finish, ahead of teammates, Marino Franchitti and Guy Cosmo, consolidated the team’s lead in the ALMS P2 season standings. Franchitti’s No. 552 Honda Performance Development ARX-03b prototype led the race with 32-min to go, but had to make an unscheduled pit stop to change a punctured left front tire, with the No. 551 moving into first and holding the position to the end. The win was Tucker’s 23rd career ALMS victory and IndyCar-fixture Briscoe’s seventh.
