Formula 1: Brazil – Vettel enters the record books, Webber goes helmetless. Champions.

Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull) won pole in 2013’s final championship round, setting himself up well to tie the records for most wins in a season (13, Michael Schumacher) and most consecutive wins (9, Alberto Ascari). Nico Rosberg weathered the rain to qualify his Mercedes P2, followed by Fernando Alonso (Ferrari, P3) and Mark Webber (Red Bull), making his 215th and final F1 start at P4. Formula 1: US Grand Prix - Vettel tallies 8th straight, Bottas first points

Photo: Circuit of the Americas   An all-Red Bull front row topped the grid in Austin, Tex., with Sebastian Vettel taking his eighth pole and Mark Webber starting next to him. Romain Grosjean (Lotus) qualified third and Nico Hulkenburg (Sauber) fourth. FIA WEC: 6 Hours of Shanghai - #1 Audi takes race, #2 the championship

The No.1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro of Andre Lotterer, Benoit Tréluyer, and Marcel Fässler won the FIA World Endurance Championship’s 6 Hours of Shanghai by 15.374 sec, beating the No.7 Toyota Racing TS030 Hybrid driven by Alexander Wurz and N Lapierre.  The No.2 Audi’s third place finish was enough to provisionally secure the FIA World Endurance Drivers’ Championship for Allan McNish, Tom Kristensen, and Loic Duval.
