Friday LinkFrogging - 9/28/12
You know what I hate?

I hate stores that start decorating for and preparing for Christmas BEFORE we even get through Halloween.  Seriously!  If I could boycott them all I would.

Fall is just getting its feet under it and we're already shoving it aside in the name of crass commercialism.

Can we let the kids go trick or treating?

Can we let the NFL reach the quarter pole?

How about getting the World Series under our belts?

Santa won't mind if you make him wait until at least November 1 to make an appearance.  I'm sure of it.

We've only just started the new Fall television season and we're already looking downstream to "24 Hours of A Christmas Story."

It's madness!

Let's all take a step back and enjoy the new offerings, offering like CBS' new show, Elementary.

Why did I single out Elementary?  That's simple, Watson.  Elementary brings us this week's cheesecake.

Please say hello to Lucy Liu.

Ms. Liu stars as JOAN Watson to Johnny Lee (the first ex-Mr. Jolie) Miller's Holmes.  Because I think we can all agree that the one thing really missing from the Sherlock Holmes mythos was sexual tension.

Then again, there is actually a fair amount of that in the Robert Downey, Jr./Jude Law iteration of the characters isn't there.

Just me?

Moving on.

After first appearing in our collective consciousness courtesy of Ally McBeal, Ms. Liu has appeared in such other geek approved fare as the Charlie's Angels movies, Shanghai Noon, Payback, Kung Fu Panda, and, of course, Kill Bill.

We will see if America is ready to accept a female Watson, but given our willing acceptance of Honey Boo Boo and her lunatic family, I think Ms. Liu is going to be fine.

Let's hit the links.
