Friday LinkFrogging - 9/14/12

The wheels of justice grind slowly, but I'm pleased to report that they do grind.
That's right dear reader(s), yours truly spent the entirety of his Monday doing his civic duty and taking part in the great American experience that is jury duty.
Who among us hasn't cringed at the sight of that summons when it slips out of your mail. Who hasn't spent the time between service and arrival trying to come up with any and all excuses and beliefs you think might get us out of jury duty.
The right to trial by jury is one of those inalienable rights we, as citizens of the US, are entitled to. We all want it, but we don't really want to be involved in its application to our neighbor.
Maybe its because we think we might end up sequested like this?
After a full day of waiting and voir diring, I was not picked for the panel and released back into the wild, but that gave me plenty of time to ponder this week's cheesecake selection.
Please say hello to
Laetitia Casta
.
My first exposure to Ms. Casta was when she graced
the cover of Rolling Stone's 1998 Hot List Issue.
Since then the French supermodel has spent time as one of Victoria's Secret's angels as well as becoming the new model for busts of
Marianne
in her homeland.
What I did not know was that Ms. Casta has also become quite an accomplished actress in Europe. Maybe I should get down to the art house more often.
This week she stars opposite Richard Gere in
Arbitrage
which is opening to very good reviews.
Somewhere in there, Ms. Casta also found time to appear in a Chris Issak music video.
Nice pants Chris!
Of course, every time I typed Ms. Casta's name into a search engine this week, I felt like E. Buzz Miller.
Let's hit the links.
