Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe, shown here in a Czech courtroom, has been freed from a Czech prison after being held for over a month on suspicion of manslaughter stemming from an incident in which a fan at a 2010 Lamb of God show in Prague died. His lawyers posted roughly $400,000 bond to secure his release, which Czech paper Blesk.cz reported was gathered from his bandmates.
Blythe boarded a plane to the US immediately following his release, wearing the same clothes he was originally incarcerated in, according to Blesk.cz. The paper also reported Blythe as describing Pankrac prison as old, “but much cleaner and milder” than American prisons.
Blythe has guaranteed Czech authorities that he will return for his trial, according to MetalInjection.net.
