Friday LinkFrogging - 6/29/12
Yes, I have an opinion on it.

No, I won't be sharing it.

You know why?  Because its MY opinion.  So is yours.  If I want to hear it, I'll ask you for it.  Otherwise keep it to yourself.

Discourse has devolved into whoever shouts the loudest wins.  I'm sure somewhere Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin are shedding single tears like that Indian in the trash commercial.

Yes, I said Indian.  Deal with it.

And no, there was no political subtext to my choice.  Move along.

You know what else?  The Indian in that commercial wasn't an Indian.  He was an Italian Coonass from South Louisiana.  How about them apples?

We all think we want the truth, but in the final analysis we learn to live with the lies.  Its just easier than believing how absolutely fucked up the truth has become.

I do my part to add to the white noise.  I do it every Friday.  I give you a list of internet links and a couple of pictures of scanitly clad famous chicks.  Hey, at least I'm not yelling at you.

So, with all that having been ranted, please say hello to his week's cheesecake, Keira Knightly.

Ms. Knightly was originally scheduled to appear in this spot last week for the opening of Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, but she got bumped to this week.  Well, Seeking a Friend.. appears to be the clubhouse leader for summer bombs at this point.  Of course, its not really a summer movie is it?

Ms. Knightly first burst into the geek consciousness playing Natalie Portman's decoy in Star Wars - The Phantom Menace.  She is most famous for her role as Elizabeth Swann in the increasingly unwatchable Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

She's also appeared in several well received period dramas such as Atonement and Pride & Prejudice.

I think we can all agree that the less said about Domino the better.

Oh yeah, she was in Bend It Like Beckham which holds up really well which caused one reviewer to refer to her as a "sexy tomboy beanpole," a descriptor that follows her to this very day.

Let's hit the links.
