Friday LinkFrogging - 4/27/12

Can I be honest with you dear reader(s)?
This week has sucked.
Between standardized testing for the kids and an exceptional Black Keys concert, I was feeling my age by Wednesday.
The minute I stopped moving Wednesday night I was out colder than Lindsey Lohan on a bender in an icehouse.
Wow! That one sucked.
Let's just say its been a long week for yours truly. That's why I was glad this week's cheesecake selection was an easy one.
Say hello to Emily Blunt.
Ms. Blunt first appeared on our radar with her scene stealing work in
The Devil Wears Prada
. That role positioned her as the next British "it" girl, a position she has never quite managed to claim as her own.
Despite work in such geek approved fare as
Charlie Wilson's War, The Wolfman
and
The Adjustment Bureau
, she just couldn't seem to break through.
During this
long dark tea time
of her career, she made one genius move. She starred opposite Jason Segel in
Gulliver's Travels
. It didn't seem like much at the time I'm sure. She was Segel's love interest in a movie overshadowed, literally, by Jack Black.
Segel was so taken by Blunt during that movie that he got her a role in his Muppet movie and wrote
The Five Year Engagement
with her in mind. Blunt got the role and now she is part of the Apatow family, which, much like the
Hotel California
, you can never leave.
She's slated to appear later this year in the eagerly anticipated
Looper
with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis.
Oh yeah, somewhere in there she got married to
The Office's
John Krasinski.
Let's hit the links.
