I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Gary Carter.
For much of my youth Carter was one of the premier catchers in all of baseball.
In fact, he was involved in one of the plays I remember most. It is also the reason that he will forever be a Montreal Expo rather than a New York Met in my mind.
Journey back in time with me to the 1979 MBL All-Star Game won't you?
That's one helluva play right there kids.
Special bonus enjoyment thanks to the late 70s uniforms of the Expos, Pirates and Padres.
RIP Mr. Carter.
