We've been toying with adding new content and/or contributors for a while now. It seems the next logical progression for us.
We all culled our Geek-o-dexes. We considered what content we wanted to add that wouldn't be redundant. It finally came down to an advice column. Now, I recognize that an advice column is a pretty standard item for a site like this. We had to figure out how to make it GonzoGeek.
Enter the Mayor of Parts Unknown.
Hizzoner recommended we get in touch with his former tag team partner, Rey Swanko.
It seems Swanko was something of a backstage sage during his time in the ring and has since retired to run a very successful bar in his hometown.
Swanko describes himself as a Luchamor and a Swankador. Now, I have no idea what either of those mean, but they sound vaguely helpful...I think.
We dispatched the Mayor to see if Swanko would be interested in penning the aforementioned advice column for us.
After months of wrangling and postponement, the Mayor was finally able to get an audience with Swanko. They discussed the old days and old friends over a couple of cold beers.
As you can see, an agreement was reached.
Beginning in 2012, Rey Swanko will be dispensing advice to our readers as only he can do.
