Perhaps the best example of his is the comedy of Rowan Atkinson. Best known in America for his Mr. Bean character, Atkinson was also the mind behind the darkly hysterical
Black Adder series.
His 2003 movie,
Johnny English, was an opening week blip in America and an international blockbuster.

This weekend, Atkinson tries to make sure we get the joke with the release of Johnny English Reborn. The good news for us is that Atkinson is not the only making a comeback in the movie.
Say hello to this week's cheesecake, Gillian Anderson.
Ms. Anderson is most famous for her role as Agent Dana Scully on
The X-Files. Her character's unwavering logic in the midst of the inexplicable made her one the premiere geek goddesses on the 90s.
Since
The X-Files wrapped in 2002, Ms. Anderson has spent most of her time working in England. She worked steadily on the stage, television and in film, most notably winning several awards for her work in 2005's
Bleak House.
This weekend she returns to her secret agent roots and we want to believe.
