In this episode, Jibbies and Loond get out into the field, visiting the always sonically spectacular Scout Bar in the southern Houston ‘burbs to take in DevilDriver and Skeletonwitch. A full-metal time is had by one and all, the only tiny downside being getting pan-handled by some chick for $1 on behalf of one of the local openers. Talk about harshing your buzz….I mean can’t you tell that we’re standing here having fun, rocking out? And what’s with the snarky comment when we say no? Hopefully this isn’t going to become a new cross-venue trend. Once J&L detail the show itself, they turn toward the future, pontificating on the ins-and-outs of Anthrax and Testament ‘co-headlining’ their upcoming tour and attempting to answer the question, “Is it really a Dead Horse reunion without Michael Haaga participating?”
[Ed. Note: Our interview with DevilDriver guitarist Jeff Kendrick, though not labelled as such, was Ep. 016, making this Ep. 017]
