It's Memorial Day Weekend kids.
It's that weekend each year where we remember those men and women who have given their lives to keep our country free.
We thank them all.
People celebrate the holiday in different ways.
For some people that means fishing. For some people that means bar-b-que. For some it means visiting family. For some it means driving cars around at ridiculous speeds around a concrete track.
That's right, Memorial Day brings with it the Indianapolis 500.
And, the Indianapolis 500 brings with it this week's cheesecake. Please say hello to Danica Patrick.
Since making her debut on the IRL circuit in 2005, Ms. Patrick has become one of the most popular and most famous drivers in Indy history. She became only the fourth woman ever to appaer in an IRL event and, by winning the 2008 Indy Japan 200, she became the first woman ever to win an IRL race.
Besides regularly finishing in the Indy 500 Top 10, Ms. Patrick has become a sought after spokesperson, shilling for, among others, Academy Sports, Hot Wheels, Peak Antifreeze, and, perhaps most famously, GoDaddy.com.
She's also a favorite of glamour photographers, appearing regularly in sports themed photo spreads.
As if that weren't enough, she appeared in Jay-Z's "Show Me What You Got" music video, racing Hova throught the streets of Monaco.
Ms. Patrick will be racing in Indy on Monday and we wish her luck.
