Yes, I'm a day late. No, I don't care. I had to work late. I knew what I wanted to write about so I'm just doing it today.
Pretend it's Monday while you're reading. It'll be fine.
- Watched the first two episodes of the new HBO show starring Bill Hader. Barry is a disgruntled vet who has taken up hitmanery as a way to make ends meet and find purpose. That is until he discovers acting. There are hints of Grosse Pointe Blank
, but Barry is its own thing. Hader is great in the title role. It plays to all of his strengths. That he is playing off of Stephen Root and Henry Winkler doesn't hurt. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
- the boys from Pied Piper are back for another season of trying to make it in the Valley. They're funded and now its about taking things to the next step. I always find myself thinking this is Entourage
for the tech set. The team fails up and down, but still manages to come out on top.
HAM ON RYE
- Geek-fession time. I've never read Charles Bukowski. I don't know why. There isn't really any good reason for it. I fixed that last week. I picked up a copy of Ham on Rye, the first volume of Bukowski's semi-autobiographical Chinaski stories. Okay, everyone is right and I'm totally late to the party. Post Office
