So, I've gotten behind on some stuff, pop culturally speaking. With so much content being pushed out, its hard to keep up. I've done my best to keep up, but sometimes there is just not enough time.
So, I've been trying to check out some of those things that I've missed.
RICK AND MORTY
- This one has been blowing up for a few years. I hadn't watched more than a single episode. The new season was staring so I thought I'd check out some of the older episodes On Demand. Okay, I blew it. This show is awesome! Its dark. Its funny. Its, in short, brilliant. I'm continuing to watch, even as I type. If you haven't watched. Do so immediately.
- I'm not a Broadway guy. Never have been. Still, I thought I'd give this a shot. I haven't seen the play, but, this week, I listened to the original cast recording. Holy shit! Throw some hip hop into the staid Broadway paradigm and you've got something. The story is easy to follow. There are some deep emotional moment. Now, if only I could afford tickets to the actual play.
GAME OF THRONES
- I'm actually current on GoT. I just wanted to comment on last night's episode, The Queen's Justice. That might have been the single best episode ever. Small moments lead to big events. With only 10 episodes left, every moment leads to something bigger. Jon meets Danerys. Cersi gets her revenge on the Sand Snakes. There is an attack on Casterly Rock. There are lots of things in play and every one of them is important. It looks like we're going to be in for quite a ride.
